1. Who we are

Stackd (stackdsa.co.za) is a student marketplace platform operated by Nuvela Group (PTY) Ltd, a company registered with the CIPC in South Africa. By creating an account or using Stackd, you agree to these terms.

2. Who can use Stackd

Stackd is built for South African university students. You must provide accurate information when registering, and you're responsible for keeping your account credentials secure.

3. Listings

• You're responsible for the accuracy of everything you post — item condition, price, description, and images.
• Listings must be for lawful, legitimate items or services relevant to a student marketplace. We may remove any listing that violates these terms or seems fraudulent, misleading, or inappropriate, without notice.
• The number of active listings you can have depends on your plan — see the Pricing section on the homepage for current limits.
• Once-off (R20) listings automatically expire and are deactivated 30 days after posting.

4. Plans, payments, and subscriptions

• Paid plans (Starter, Pro) are billed monthly on a recurring basis through PayFast. By subscribing, you authorise PayFast to charge your chosen payment method each billing cycle until you cancel.
• You can cancel your subscription at any time from your Dashboard's Subscription tab. Cancelling stops future billing immediately — you keep your current plan and active listings until the end of your already-paid period, after which your account moves to the free plan and any listings above the free plan's limit are deactivated (oldest first).
• Once-off (R20) listing payments are non-recurring and non-refundable once the listing is published, except where required by law.
• All prices are in South African Rand (ZAR).
• Featured listing purchases boost visibility for a limited period and do not extend your plan's listing limit.

5. Promo codes

Promo codes are issued at our discretion, apply to a specific plan, and may only be redeemed once per user per code. We reserve the right to deactivate a promo code, or refuse redemption, if we reasonably suspect misuse.

6. Refunds

Payments made through PayFast are generally non-refundable once a plan or listing has been activated, except where required by South African consumer protection law. If you believe you were charged in error, contact studentstacksa@gmail.com.

7. Prohibited conduct

• Posting illegal, fraudulent, counterfeit, or prohibited items
• Impersonating another person or misrepresenting your affiliation with any institution
• Attempting to circumvent plan limits, payment systems, or platform security
• Harassing, scamming, or misleading other users

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

8. Transactions between users

Stackd is a platform that connects buyers and sellers — we are not a party to any transaction between users, and we don't guarantee the quality, safety, or legality of items listed. Buyers and sellers are responsible for arranging and completing transactions safely and independently, including verifying the other party and meeting in safe locations.

9. Limitation of liability

Stackd is provided "as is." To the fullest extent permitted by law, Nuvela Group (PTY) Ltd is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the platform, including disputes between users, inaccurate listings, or service interruptions.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of Stackd after changes are posted means you accept the updated terms.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
